General Member Meeting
Town of Bristol
October 11, 2006 

President Jerry Derr called the meeting to order at 8:10 pm. 

Rick Stadelman led the Pledge of Allegiance. 

Introduction of Guests:

Bob Salov, Pat Downing, Duane Gau, Jerry Jensen, Eileen Bruskewitz, Kyle Richmond, John Hendrick, Mike King, Mike Hanson (candidate for County Sheriff), Gene Hahn, and Dave Mahoney (candidate for Sheriff). 

Comments from Guests/Candidates:

Gene Hahn, Dave Mahoney, Bob Salov and Mike Hanson all spoke about the positions they are running for in the upcoming November 2006 election.   

Impact Fees: Rick Stadelman (Executive Director for WTA)

·         Provided a handout on impact fees.

·         Noted the upcoming convention to be held in LaCrosse the week of October 16, 2006. 

OA/Shoreland Zoning

·         Public hearing to be held on Wednesday, October 18^th at 5:30pm in Rm 201 of the City County Bldg.  This will be a joint meeting with EANR and ZLR.

·         This OA would affect cities and villages

·         To reduce the amount of development and improve water quality 

Appointment Process of CARPC:

·         Governors office expecting to act on this in November

·         Early 2007 is when the group will begin to meet

·         If anyone is interested, please send a letter of interest to Jerry Derr

·         the DCTA is entitled to three seats appointed by the president of the DCTA  

Other Business:   

Dues Schedule

·         There were 13 towns present.  A ballot will be sent to those town not present at the meeting to approve or not approve the dues schedule with cap.

·         Updike made a motion to adopt the dues schedule for 2007.  Bowman second.  Motion carried. 

Bowmam made a motion to adjourn.  Olson second.  Motion carried.
