| Meeting was held at the Town of Burke. Meeting was called
to order at 7:30 p.m. by President Gerald Derr.
Pledge of Allegiance was led by Bill Kurt, Burke.
President Derr introduced guests that were present
Minutes & Treasurer’s Report—A motion was made to approve, seconded
and carried.
Commuter Rail—David Trowbridge explained how the Transport 2020
committee decided on the type of mass transit that was feasible in Dane
County. Discussion of pros and cons followed.
Roll Call - 21 towns were present.
By-Laws Revison-After discussion of the proposed revisions, a motion
was made to postpone the vote until further revisions could be made.
Seconded and carried.
WTA Lobbyists—Kent Woods reminded everyone about the Urban Towns
Workshop on January 18, where the legislative agenda will be discussed.
WTA District Representatives—Bob Thomas reported on storm water
requirements and reminded us about the District meetings. Norm Faber talked
about the Whistler program and other highway updates.
Cracker Barrel Discussion—Jim Ripp from Springfield asked DCTA to
promote a uniform 9 p.m. closing time for carry-out liquor.
Stormwater erosion management—it appears that RPC is going to look at
each jurisdiction.
Levy limits – not well know that electors set the levy not the board.
